Locus Science Fiction -säätiö on julkaissut tämän vuoden Locus-palkintoehdokkaat eri kategorioihin. Ehdokkaat nimetään lehden lukijakunnan äänestystulosten perusteella. Palkinnot jaetaan kesäkuun 24.-26. välisenä aikana. Mukana on Hugo-tuttuja ehdokkaita, mutta myös monia muita, sillä romaanikategorioita on neljä, ja niihin mahtuu yhteensä 20 ehdokasta. Tällä kertaa mukana on myös suomalaisnimi, sillä Hannu Rajaniemen The Quantum Thief löytyy esikoiskirjojen ehdokkaiden joukosta. Lisäksi minua ilahduttaa, että George R.R. Martinin The Mystery Knight on ehdokkaana pienoisromaanien kategoriassa, vaikka se ei mielestäni olekaan paras kirjailijan Dunk & Egg -tarinoista. Silti erinomainen. Ehdokaskirjan nimessä jälleen linkki minun arvosteluuni, jos teos on tullut jo luetuksi. Loppujen kategorioiden (mm. lehdet, antologiat ja kokoelmat) ehdokkaat voi vilkaista täältä.
